Licensure
✓Required Licensure with the Department of Public Health to practice Mammography in the state of Massachusetts required.
Certifications
✓Maintain current CPR certification.
✓Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Mammography (ARRT)(M) required.
✓CPR Certification required.
Education
✓Required Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology Training program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRC/ ERT) Required.
Qualifications
✓Required effective communication skills/ ability to build rapport with others.
✓Proficiency in using computers and ability to quickly gain competency in various software applications, including hospital specific applications, Microsoft Office, cell phone, pager.
✓Organizational skills to work in an efficient, orderly fashion.

About the role

Under the administrative direction of the Mammography Supervisor, the Mammographer performs screening Mammography at a level of competence not requiring constant supervision to technical detail. Assumes responsibility for designated areas.
