Manager of Clinical Services | Las Cruces Recovery Center | Las Cruces, New MexicoAbout the Job:*Clinical license required The Clinical Services Manager is responsible for assisting the clinical department Director with management and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the clinical department, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care systems and for client health outcomes attributable to clinical practice.

The Clinical Services Manager serves as the Clinical Department lead, in the event of the Director’s absence. At the direction of the Director, provides direct supervision to clinical staff and indirect guidance to other staff regarding clinical programming and treatmenpat expectations to ensure effective & safe therapeutic practices are being provided. Leads assigned aspects of the counseling programs including compliance with standards for completion of ASAM evaluations, Psychosocial Assessments, discharge planning, conducting groups, facilitating family therapies and individual therapies, and developing, implementing, and reviewing Treatment Plans.

At the direction of the Director, reviews the progress, quality, and effectiveness of all clinical programs via live observations and chart audits. Implements and monitors the clinical unit program schedule. Provides support and instruction as needed to direct care staff to ensure they adequately understand the treatment program and service delivery expectations to clients based on the clients’ individual treatment plans and clinical needs.

Communicates instructions, expectations and timelines clearly and concisely. Assists in monitoring that all clinical programming, staffing, and documentation is in accordance with regulatory agencies and standards of care. Coaches a team of highly engaged members through hiring, orientation, performance assessment and employee engagement to meet department goals and ensure effective and efficient department operation.

Ensures appropriate communication with department Director and Human Resources for any pertinent staff issue or concern. Manages staff scheduling and maintains an updated plan for contingency staffing. Maintains accountability expectations for self and staff in all areas of job performance.

Assists with ensuring staff educational and supervision needs are addressed with education and supervision programs that are attended by staff. Holds staff accountable for non-compliance and client safety concerns, as well as attendance, following policies, behavior, and adherence to code of conduct. Provides clinical consultation, guidance and supervision.

Serves as subject matter expert and resource related to documentation standards for clinical services provided. Responsible for a limited caseload as needed. Maintains an awareness of community and market-related activities which includes knowledge of the activities of other providers, needs of local payors and the political climate related to mental health.

Provides direct care services when needed. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL

Master’s Degree from an accredited school in clinical, psychology or social service-related field. Three or more years’ experience post-obtaining Master’s degree working with the population of the facility required. Skilled in substance use and addiction counseling and assessment and knowledge of regulatory standards.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:Independently licensed or certified addiction counselor/professional counselor/social worker/psychologist or therapist that is state-issued and valid and current. Licensure or certification level allows for supervision of others within the field. CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

First aid may be required based on state or facility. WORK LOCATION:This position is onsite and is not a remote position. SUPERVISORY
