Description

What We OfferThe Materials Coordinator will act as a liaison to all departments which require the services of Supply Chain Operations and perform functions related, but not limited to: administrative support, customer service, par levels, inventory management, specialty carts and kits, medical equipment, shipping/receiving and off-site supply deliveries.

Administrative: Understand responsibility in cost containment efforts by utilizing resources wisely by monitoring PAR levels through MIN/MAX. Provides Lawson/Ariba data input. Troubleshoots buyer messages and invoice discrepancies and resolution.

Acts as a department liaison for customer service providing assistance with: resolving customer inquiries; product research and sourcing; troubleshooting product requisitions, purchase orders and billing as appropriate; vendor backorders, product returns and recalls; and communicates product information and changes. Communication: Practices effective interpersonal communication skills. Possesses good verbal and written communication skills in a positive and diplomatic manner.

Provides excellent customer service relating to supply chain functions and any special customer inquiries. Operations: Counts and replenishes par level locations using available technology. Maintains pars and makes recommendations for changes.

Assists with inventory management by stocking shelves, rotating stock, cycle counts, and physical inventory. Cleans, prepares, and replenishes specialty carts, kits and equipment, if applicable. Receives all incoming freight from UPS, FedEx and other common carriers.

Prepares and ships outgoing freight. Delivers to off-site facilities as necessary. Knowledge of computer systems, including handhelds, uses within Supply Chain Operations.

Assists in cost containment efforts utilizing resources wisely. Adheres to all department, hospital, and Corporate policies and procedures. Maintains competency according to departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.

Compliance: Ensures compliance to all department, hospital, Corporate and Joint Commission policies/recommendations in market facilities through education and guidance from Supply Chain leaders. Ensures accurate management of PAR levels, monitoring replenish rates and level of stock on hand (through MIN/MAX reports). Maintains competency according to departmental policies, procedures, protocols and mandatory education requirements.

Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to improve processes and shares that with leadership. Collaborates with other departments or disciplines to achieve desired outcomes. Maintains verbal/written communications with customers to develop and monitor quality of core processes in the department.

What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required.

Experience in healthcare setting. Experience in inventory/logistics and related functions., preferred. Additional Skills (required): Requires prolonged standing, manual dexterity, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and stooping.

Good visual acuity. Ability to work in a stressful and fast paced environment resulting from customer demands; ability to work prolonged periods of time inputting data into computer using repetitious hand movements. Ability to learn inventory control software system and basic computer skills.

Physical demands are in excess of those for light work: ability to lift up to 35 lbs; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling moving objects weighing 21 to 50 lbs. Additional Skills (preferred): Computer knowledge (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel). Knowledge/experience in using pallet jack, dock board and hand trucks.
