- High School Diploma or Equivalent required Experience in materials management, inventory control, or a related field, with some experience in a supervisory or lead role 1
- 2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of materials management principles, inventory control practices, and logistics operations. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software, spreadsheet applications, and other relevant tools. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and other departments. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and process inefficiencies. (Key Roles & Responsibilities): Supervise a team of materials management professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure team effectiveness and productivity. Oversee inventory levels, including accurate tracking, monitoring, and reporting of stock levels, and implement strategies to optimize inventory accuracy and minimize stockouts. Coordinate the receiving and inspection of incoming materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards and documentation requirements.
Manage storage areas, ensuring efficient space utilization, proper organization of materials, and adherence to safety regulations and best practices. Coordinate the movement and distribution of materials to production areas or workstations, ensuring timely availability and accurate allocation. Collaborate with production planning and procurement teams to prioritize and fulfill material requests or orders, meeting production schedules and customer requirements.
Ensure adherence to established materials management procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Identify training needs for the materials management team, provide coaching and support to enhance their skills and knowledge, and promote professional development opportunities.
