✓Demonstrates the skills and competencies required to complete duties safely and perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
✓Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgment to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
✓Uses therapeutic communication to establish relationships with patients, families, and the interprofessional team and collaborate on the plan of care.
✓Able to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, interprofessional care team, and patients and their families.
✓Exhibits strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving abilities by effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely.

About the role

The Senior MCC SCTCT Infusion Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients at the Mays Cancer Center. Provide nursing care to immunocompromised patients with complex needs, including hematology stem cell transplant and cellular therapy patients across the adult and geriatric spectrum in the outpatient setting.
