✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at the time of hire (verified through state license)
Certifications
✓One of the following MA certifications at the time of hire ( or must obtain within 12 months of hire):
✓CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association)
✓CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants, or CHP Certified Health Professionals)
✓RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists, or AAH, American Allied Health, or ARMA American Registry of Medical Assistants)
✓NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
✓NRCMA- Nationally Registered Certified Medial Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
✓CPOE certification   required   within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained at hire
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
Education
✓High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
✓1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting
✓One of the following certifications is required (or must obtain within 12 months of hire):
✓CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National HealthCareer Association)
✓NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
✓Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
✓Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
✓Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✓Strong organizational and planning skills

About the role

In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization, and communication.
