Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent required.
✓Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant training program (nine months or longer)
✓Recent graduate of a formal Medical Assistant training program (nine months or longer) completed within the past two to three years.
Qualifications
✓Working knowledge of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
✓Proficiency with computers, scanners, electronic medical records (EMR), and scheduling systems.
✓Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
✓Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
✓Demonstrated ability to provide culturally competent care to patients throughout the lifespan.
✓Minimum of three years of Medical Assistant experience in a comparable ambulatory setting within the past five years
Experience with electronic medical records and appointment scheduling systems preferred.
