Responsible for covering clinical offices based on operational need. Assists in the examination of patients under the direction of a Physician or Allied Health professional, and in accordance with M. A. scope of practice.
Thorough knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques. Responsible for maintaining smooth patient flow by accurate assessment of patients’ needs, thorough attention to physician orders and properly scheduling and follow-up of tests and procedures performed on patient. Act as an intermediary between physician and patients when necessary to more appropriately use the physician time.

Administer prescribed medication orally or by injection (per policy scope of service) and document time, dosage and route on patient chart. Perform electrocardiograph (EKG), pulse oximetry, inhalation treatments, and operate other equipment, as certified. Complete all documentation to ensure accurate medical Assure that physician has signed chart; review physician orders to verify that all orders have been carried out.
Return patient charts to medical records.
