✓Accredited program of Licensed Practical Nursing with an active LPN license Required
Certifications
✓BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
Education
✓Completion of a clinical Medical Assistant training program resulting in a diploma or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or a registered apprentice program certificate. Required or
Qualifications
✓1-3 years Medical Assistant direct patient care experience in an outpatient setting Required and
✓Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
✓Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA
✓Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
✓Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures, and the ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
✓Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
✓Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
✓Assisting and Caring for Others — Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
✓Processing Information — Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
✓Performing Administrative Activities — Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
