The MA may assist with clinical procedures, maintains accurate documentation, and provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

The MA functions within their defined scope of practice (based on office type clinic/HOD), under supervision, and in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards of care. Position Details:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training. Certification: Must actively maintain MA certification. Additional minimum requirement(s) only for Hospital Outpatient Departments Certification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support) Overview:Collaborates in the workflow of the clinic and the assessment of patient/significant other in a timely, consistent and systematic manner. Documents subjective and objective data according to policy.Demonstrates effective patient safety techniques and infection control.Works as part of the clinic team in an effective and efficient manner to accomplish daily objectives.Medical Assistant:

High School Diploma or GED. Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred

6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office. Certified Medical Assistant:

High School Diploma or GED. Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hireKey
