Facility: Clements Ferry Emergency DepartmentLocation: Clements FerryDepartment: LaboratoryPosition Type: Full Time Nights - 12 hour shifts Work
Alternating Schedule- Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
This position will work independently a majority of the time, requiring strong clinical judgment, technical competence, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic emergency setting. Perform analytical testing of patient specimensConduct quality control and equipment maintenanceTroubleshoot instrumentation issuesMaintain accurate documentation and utilize LIS systemsEnsure regulatory compliance and inspection readinessCommunicate effectively with physicians and clinical staffPractice efficient inventory managementFollow all laboratory and safety protocols What We're Looking ForAssociate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology requiredOR completion of equivalent military training (50+ weeks)One year of laboratory experience preferred(Clinical internship of 12 months meets this requirement)MLT certification (or eligible) through ASCP or AMT requiredCertification must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already certifiedOngoing maintenance of certification requiredStrong knowledge of laboratory equipment and quality control proceduresAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm in emergency situationsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAttention to detail and commitment to patient safety Why Choose Novant Health?
