✓New York License required for NY locations.
Certifications
✓Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful completion of a CAHEA accredited Medical Lab Scientist program, OR Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP or equival
✓Associate’s degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), OR Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory scienc
MLT/MLS Degree. preferred
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
Medical Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification preferred.
Qualifications
Schedule: Shifts will predominantly be 8 hr. shifts. preferred
Start times vary across all three shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm- 6am. preferred
May include up to 2 weekends a month and will be placed into a holiday rotation schedule. preferred
Would prefer a candidate that can be available a minimum of 8-10 days a month. preferred
A little more availability for initial training would be needed preferred
most training takes place 6am-2pm (may have some flexibility). preferred
Prefer 1 year experience in a hospital laboratory. preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems preferred.
Minimum 1-years’ experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory information systems preferred.
