  • Responsible for coordination and preparation of medical staff functions; prepares for various Medical Staff Meetings and maintains minutes. Responsible for maintaining files for the credentialing and recredentialing of practitioners and health professionals. Ensure data is maintained in the credentialing software. Communicates effectively with the Chiefs of the clinical departments and sections to assure compliance with Medical Staff by-laws and Rules and Regulations. Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and standards for the medical staff based on knowledge of the Joint Commission Standards, medical legal requirements, and bylaws. Participates in the on-boarding of new physicians to the Medical Staff. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards with all customer groups. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Credentialing and privileging is responsible for performing the credentialing process for new and provisional members of the NWTHS Medical Staff. Responsible for performing the recredentialing process for all members of the NWTHS Medical Staff. Clinical privileging process for Allied Health Practitioners is responsible for performing the credentialing and recredentialing process for all Allied Health Practitioners. Performs other clerical and Medical Staff Services duties under the direction of the Manager of Medical Staff Services. Assists in maintaining NWTHS Medical Staff Bylaws and policies and procedures. Participates in monitoring and reporting the OPPE and FPPE for Medical Staff members. Actively participates in the on-boarding of new physicians and other independent licensed practitioners.   • Minimum of high school education.
  • Previous experience in credentialing/privileging preferred.
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred
