✓Requires ARDMS registration in OB /GYN by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
✓RDMS (OB) required within six months of hire.
✓Nuchal Translucency required within six months of hire.
Education
✓EDUCATION (number of years and type required to perform the position duties): Associates Degree and/or education required to obtain RDMS certification. Prior experience specifically in perinatal imaging preferred.
Qualifications
✓EXPERIENCE (number of years and type required to meet an acceptable level of performance): Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry level standards of routine sonographer Prefer one (1) years' practical experience in Ultrasound or related field.
✓Excellent theoretical knowledge of anatomy, pathology and demonstrated proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment.
✓Must be proficient and accurate in obtaining sonographic images and in discriminating images selected for interpretation.
✓Must possess outstanding communication and organizational skills.
✓Required to interact with patients and families to provide information about the content of the sonogram, as it is being conducted.
✓Must possess excellent technical skills in the guidance of invasive procedures including CVS, PUBs, Amniocentesis, etc).
✓Must be able to work accurately, independently and efficiently in order to complete a minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) scans per day.
Knowledge of and experience with computerized documentation systems preferred.
