✓Current University of Arkansas System employees, including student employees and graduate assistants, need to log in to Workday via MyApps.
✓High school diploma/GED, PLUS one year direct patient care related experience.
Qualifications
✓Must complete the dysrhythmia course within 90 day evaluation period and maintain competency as a telemetry technician.
✓Must have excellent communication skills, ability to follow oral instructions, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
✓Microsoft Office experience
✓Continuously monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings.
✓Identify and recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and significant rhythm changes.
✓Promptly notify nursing staff of critical or abnormal findings.
✓Maintain accurate documentation of monitored rhythms and significant events.
✓Perform rhythm strips and provide them to clinical staff as required.
✓Monitor multiple patients simultaneously while maintaining close attention to changes in condition.
✓Verify proper telemetry connections and troubleshoot monitoring equipment when necessary.
✓Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
✓This position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
