You’ll need
Licensure
✓Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) within 6 months of hire
✓Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support
ARRT preferred.
Education
✓High School Diploma/GED.
✓Have satisfactorily completed a three (3) unit semester course in cross-sectional anatomy at an accredited college or have the demonstrated equivalent knowledge as determined by the department manager.
Qualifications
✓Have minimum two (2) years continuous regular (twenty (20) hours or more per week) recent experience performing computerized tomography (CT) and must, to the satisfaction of the department manager be fully proficient in performing all the duties of CT
✓Have minimum two (2) years continuous regular (twenty (20) hours or more per week) recent experience as a Registered Ultrasound Technologist in two (2) or more modalities and must, to the satisfaction of the department manager be fully proficient in performing all the duties of an Ultrasound
✓Have minimum one (1) year of continuous regular (twenty (20) hours or more per week) recent experience as a MRI Technologist and must, to the satisfaction of the department manager, be fully proficient in performing al the duties of a MRI Technologist I.
✓Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
✓Must be able to communicate well in order to train other MRI Technologists Trainees and MRI Technologists I in MRI procedures.
✓May be required to direct, check and train other MRI employees.
✓Effective oral and written communication skills.

About the role
Operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images (photographs) of patients body for diagnostic purposes. Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative, performs related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care utilizing efficient and safe processes.
