Multimodality Technologist – CT/X-Ray | Weekend Nights Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock, TX Full Time | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM TDA – Two-Day Alternative Differential Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Multimodality Technologist – CT/X-Ray to join our imaging team at BSW Round Rock Medical Center . This full-time weekend night shift position works three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and is eligible for a Two-Day Alternative (TDA) differential .

Job Summary The Multimodality Technologist – CT/X-Ray performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more imaging disciplines, with at least 25% of work focused in an advanced modality such as Computed Tomography (CT) . Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, the Multimodality Technologist provides imaging services to hospital and ambulatory patients as ordered by physicians and other licensed providers for the diagnosis of disease and injury.
Perform high-quality CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures according to established protocols, quality standards and department expectations. Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT and radiographic procedures, utilizing proper equipment settings, exposure factors and immobilization techniques. Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety, dose monitoring and dose reference levels , including appropriate actions when established levels are exceeded.
Properly utilize iSTAT point-of-care testing for creatinine levels when required for imaging procedures. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, explaining procedures and assessing each patient's ability to tolerate the examination. Follow established safety, infection prevention, medication and radiation protection policies and procedures.
Utilize appropriate sterile technique and hand hygiene when assisting with or performing invasive imaging procedures. Maintain CT, X-ray and other imaging equipment and work areas according to quality, safety and cleanliness standards. Collaborate with engineers, physicists and department leadership to help maintain optimal equipment performance.
Obtain, verify and maintain required patient documentation, including imaging orders, patient history and pregnancy status. Maintain accurate medical imaging records within appropriate systems according to department policies and procedures. Assist with inventory and ensure appropriate imaging supplies are available.
Screen individuals entering restricted imaging areas according to established safety protocols. What Will Make You Successful Ability to perform CT and X-ray procedures accurately, efficiently and independently. Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging, anatomy, positioning, radiation safety and imaging protocols.
Ability to explain procedures clearly and help patients feel comfortable during their examinations. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in a hospital environment. Ability to remain calm, professional and helpful during high-volume or stressful situations.
Commitment to delivering timely, accurate and patient-centered imaging services. Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations, including administering first aid and utilizing emergency equipment. Commitment to maintaining current clinical knowledge and continuing education.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION - Graduate of an Accredited Program EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 year of Experience CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), unless the role is MRI or Ultrasound. ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT)
