The Activity Therapist will join a collaborative team of Activity Therapists and Behavioral Associates and help engage patients through a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities in a well-equipped recreation space overlooking Forest Park. Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week, M-F, 1 weekend/month, 1 holiday/yearDay

Role PurposeOrganizes and implements a music therapy program to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of patients. ResponsibilitiesUses music therapy as a process that combines the verbally transcendent and emotionally authentic aspects of music with the needs of the patient. Serves as a resource person and guide providing musical experiences that will aid in patient care.
Designs and conducts music sessions for individuals and groups, based on client needs. Coordinates therapy with other team members and shares response to music therapy intervention.
