✓University of Maryland Capital Region Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing neuroscience team with a primary focus in Neurointerventional Radiology (NIR) .
✓Bachelor's degree required
✓Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
✓Bachelor's degree and prior RN experience
Qualifications
✓Advance Your Career in Neurointerventional Radiology
✓The primary schedule for this position consists of Neurointerventional Radiology day shifts , providing an opportunity to build specialized expertise while collaborating closely with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other neuroscience professionals.
✓You'll also receive training across the neuroscience team and may have opportunities to provide cross-coverage within other APP service lines in the specialty , expanding your clinical knowledge and procedural experience.
✓Mentorship of fellow APPs and other learners
✓Service-line and APP events and initiatives
✓Providers are expected to maintain applicable continuing education requirements, including 50 hours of Category I CME every two years, 32 hours of trauma-related CME, and 16 hours of stroke-related CME , as required for the position.
✓Physician Assistants

✓Completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
✓Must successfully complete credentialing through the UM Capital Region Health Medical Staff Office
At least one year of neurosurgery or neurocritical care experience preferred

About the role

As a Neurointerventional Radiology APP, you'll collaborate with the physician care team to provide comprehensive care to complex and critically ill neuroscience patients throughout their course of treatment.

What you’ll do
Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, andProvide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care to acutely and critically ill patients
Obtain comprehensive medical historiesObtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations
