Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $42.09 - $56.83 / hour Hiring Incentives: Relocation and Housing Assistance Summary Lee Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Mother Baby team, providing strong clinical leadership and creating an exceptional experience for mothers, newborns, and their families. Women’s Service at Health Park Medical Center is compiled of multiple units including Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby units, OB Special care (high-risk antepartum unit), OBOR, OBED, and Family Education/Lactation.
We deliver 6,500 babies annually and have approximately 1200 visits per month in our OB Emergency Department where we see OB patients with obstetric concerns prior to delivery. Manages a defined area of organized patient care services. The Manager actively participates in organizational leadership functions and collaborations with other organizational leaders and medical staff in designing and providing patient care and services.
Managers allocate available resources to promote safe, efficient, effective and compassionate nursing care, provide input into executive level decisions and keep staff informed of executive level activities. Managers provide direction to patient care staff to promote quality patient care, nursing services and a culture of safety on a continuous basis. The Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent nursing standards guide the provision of nursing care.
He/she serves on the Nursing Leadership Council to provide clinical perspectives to issues, as well as, serves as a staff and patient and family advocate. Responsible for directing and coordinating patient care, within their defined area of responsibility, through established standards subscribed by the American Nurses Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s degree in Nursing or other healthcare field preferred. Experience
Previous experience in Nursing Leadership required - Mother Baby preferred Certification
Certification in Nursing Administration or appropriate specialty preferred. License
Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida. Other
Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of nursing care. Ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to improve the delivery of care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
