You’ll need
Licensure
✓Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
Certifications
✓Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
✓ACLS certification
✓BLS certification
Education
✓Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
Qualifications
✓Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Minimum of 2 years licensed NP or PA experience in a critical care setting, preferably in cardiovascular intensive care. preferred

About the role
Suburban Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine , is seeking a dedicated and experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. Our CVICU provides specialized care for patients with severe cardiovascular conditions, and we are looking for a motivated professional to contribute to our patient-centered approach.
What you’ll do
Provide comprehensive care toProvide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU
Perform advanced diagnostic andPerform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of attending physicians
Collaborate with a multidisciplinaryCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Monitor and evaluate patientMonitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary
Educate patients and theirEducate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
