Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri – a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St.

Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. In addition, Parkland’s Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study.

The OB Department provides support for inpatient and outpatient gynecology, obstetrical, and newborn care to those patients in need of OB nursing services inclusive of treatment, medication, patient teaching and discharge planning.

Role PurposeCoordinates, negotiates, procures and manages the care of patients to facilitate achievement of quality cost-effective outcomes. Works collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary staff, internal and external to the organization, to identify and resolve issues. Performs and provides consultation regarding Utilization Management and Performance Improvement programs in order to obtain optimum value for the patient and the reimbursement source.

ResponsibilitiesAssesses, coordinates, and evaluates each patient's plan of care. Establishes, continuously evaluates, and documents an individualized discharge plan. Ensures clinical documentation and cost-effective use of hospital resources.
