Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent required.
✓Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant training program (minimum nine months in duration) or a minimum of three years of Medical Assistant experience in a comparable ambulatory healthcare setting within the last five years.
✓Recent graduate (within the past two to three years) of a formal Medical Assistant training program.
Qualifications
✓Strong understanding of medical office procedures, policies, and clinical protocols.
✓Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), scheduling software, and standard computer applications.
✓Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, providers, coworkers, and leadership.
✓Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
✓Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
✓Demonstrated ability to provide care to patients across the lifespan while considering developmental, cultural, and age-related needs.
✓Three years of Medical Assistant experience within the past five years in an ambulatory or outpatient healthcare setting
Experience using electronic medical records and appointment scheduling systems preferred.
