Occupational Therapist- Fulltime And Parttime Days

Provides occupational therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, and related documentation and communication, in order to increase the patients’ functional independence. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Assesses the needs of the patient using evaluation tools and clinical observationsDevelops treatment plans, including goals, and methods to achieve identified goalsProvides goal directed treatment consistent with current OT practice standards and/or ensures that OTAs deliver goal-directed services appropriatelySelects and uses learning strategies to share occupational therapy treatment choices and outcomes with patients, family, care team and consumersEffectively uses available information sources to report therapy activities and patient performancesPromotes growth and development while evaluating performance and maintaining standards of assigned individualsAuthorized to have access to medications within their scope of practiceOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic institutionMaster’s degree preferredCurrent licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North CarolinaWork

New graduate or experienced clinicians considered Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Professional competency as a general practitioner of OT as defined by certification and licensureAbility to select age appropriate functional goals and treatment techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patientsInterpersonal skills that promote cooperative patient and peer behaviorAccurate written and verbal EnglishPhysical
