Oncology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

We’re hiring an Oncology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to play a key role in supporting patients receiving care in our Oncology Infusion Center. In this highly specialized position, you’ll help ensure every patient receives safe, effective, and personalized medication therapy—while also partnering closely with providers and leading clinical pharmacy initiatives within the infusion setting.

Work ScheduleShift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (no weekends / consistent schedule) What you’ll doReview and verify provider orders to ensure accuracy, safety, and appropriate oncology treatment plansPrepare and dispense medications while ensuring timely, compliant infusion center operationsCounsel patients and families on medications, side effects, and treatment expectationsServe as a trusted resource to physicians, nurses, and care teams by providing expert drug information and recommendationsContribute to clinical initiatives, including developing order sets, care plans, and supporting infusion pharmacy workflowsReview and optimize chemotherapy, biologic, and supportive care orders using Epic/BeaconParticipate in research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and clinical committeesPrecept PGY1/PGY2 residents and pharmacy studentsWho you areA licensed pharmacist with strong clinical experience in oncology or infusion-based careKnowledgeable in chemotherapy protocols, oncology medications, and safe handling practicesCollaborative and confident working across multidisciplinary teamsDetail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety and quality outcomesPassionate about improving the patient experience through education and clinical expertisePGY1 Residency or PGY2 Oncology Residency or BCOP Department DescriptionThe outpatient oncology pharmacy department provides direct clinical services within our ambulatory oncology clinics and infusion centers, working collaboratively with oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Clinical services are integrated into multidisciplinary oncology workflows, with pharmacists contributing to treatment optimization, medication safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
