This position is based at UPMC Vision Institute – St. Margaret, 100 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215 and offers full-time daylight hours with staggered shifts of 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, or until the last patient. Visual acuity assessment: with and without correction, distance, near and intermediate, pinhole, best corrected, potential acuity, brightness acuityLensometry: automated and manualPupillary assessment: measurement, compare and evaluate. Color testing, glare testAngle assessment & dilation of pupils. Contact lenses: insertion, removal, and instructions. Assist with maintaining office inventory, notifying appropriate staff when supplies are needed, restocking exam rooms, cleaning and sterilizing of instruments and cleaning patient exam rooms at end of day.
Travel to other clinical sites. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician in an Ophthalmology office or combination of related education and/or experience preferred.
