This position offers a convenient four 10-hour shift schedule Monday through Friday, allowing for enhanced work-life balance. The Urgent Eye Care Center is open 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with schedules based on clinic needs.
Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories, performing ophthalmic testing and diagnostic procedures, assisting providers with examinations and treatments, educating patients, and ensuring efficient patient flow. Visual acuity assessment: with and without correction, distance, near and intermediate, pinhole, best corrected, potential acuity, brightness acuityLensometry: automated and manualPupillary assessment: measurement, compare and evaluate. Color testing, glare testAngle assessment & dilation of pupils. Contact lenses: insertion, removal, and instructions. Assist with maintaining office inventory, notifying appropriate staff when supplies are needed, restocking exam rooms, cleaning and sterilizing of instruments and cleaning patient exam rooms at end of day.
Travel to other clinical sites. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician in an Ophthalmology office or combination of related education and/or experience preferred.
