Certifications
✓Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) is strongly preferred.
Education
✓High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Qualifications
✓You thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment where attention to detail and sharp eye-hand coordination are essential.
✓You remain calm and highly focused during critical, complex, and evolving emergent surgical situations.
✓Strong teamwork and communication skills help you collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative professionals.
✓You possess the physical capabilities to read printed materials clearly, hear conversational voices easily (with or without a hearing aid), and safely lift and move heavy objects.
✓Patient safety , infection prevention, and compassionate care guide every aspect of your professional practice.
✓You enjoy mentorship and look forward to supporting the ongoing development of your peers and new trainees on the team.
✓Core Competencies: Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique, CDC guidelines, manual dexterity, professional conduct standards, and the ability to work under pressure alongside a diverse medical team.
Prior operational experience as an OR Technician is preferred, though a strong foundational training background will be considered.
