You’ll need
Licensure
✓Certification or licensure as an EMT-Paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Certifications
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completion within 80 days of employment.
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) completion within 80 days of employment.
National Registry. preferred
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) completion. preferred
Education
✓High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
Qualifications
✓American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion.
✓Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver's License with restriction “A” permissible.
✓Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) completion within 80 days of employment.
✓Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment.
Field experience. preferred
Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) completion. preferred
Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program (CCEMTP) completion. preferred
