Join an elite ground transport team delivering life-saving care to high-acuity patients across the region.đ Why This Role Stands Out Critical care scope of practice using advanced protocols and skillsAutonomous clinical decision-making with strong medical director supportOpportunities for specialty certifications and professional growthMission-driven organization where safety and patient outcomes come firstCollaborative, high-performance team environmentđ©ș What Youâll DoServe as the lead clinician on an ALS Critical Care ground ambulancePerform advanced life support and critical care interventions for interfacility patientsConduct comprehensive patient assessments, triage, treatment, and evaluation during transportPractice with a high degree of clinical autonomy while following established medical protocolsDocument the full clinical process accurately in the patient care recordSupervise and evaluate assigned drivers, ensuring safe transport operationsAct as a clinical resource and mentor to team members, sharing expertise and best practicesCommunicate effectively with patients, families, hospital teams, and external partnersParticipate in community outreach and education initiativesUphold and advance the mission, values, and safety standards of Shands Healthcare/ShandsCair Qualificationsâ Required QualificationsFlorida-licensed Paramedic (current and in good standing)BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hireMinimum 2 years of pre-hospital Paramedic experienceValid Florida Driverâs LicenseCompletion of a Florida-approved EVOC driving courseâ Preferred & Advanced CredentialsITLS or PHTLS (preferred at hire; required within 1 year)CCEMT-P, UFCCP, FP-C, and NRP (preferred; required within 1 year)Experience in critical care transportInstructor status in EMS certificationsđŒ Benefits & GrowthCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits package (medical, retirement, and more) based on status hired.
