Paramedic (Part-time) Canonsburg EMS

This position is part of Union PPFFA - F $1,000.00 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment for eligible candidates Under AHN Prehospital Care Services, Canonsburg Ambulance provides emergency and non-emergency care to Washington County, PA. We are seeking candidates interested in rural, community based EMS. GENERAL OVERVIEW Provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the pre-hospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of Emergency Medical Care.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide basic and advanced life support to the critically ill and injured during treatment and transport in the pre-hospital setting. (50%) Drives emergency or response vehicle. (20%) Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards.

(15%) Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards. (15%) Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience For Prehospital Response Unit: 5 years’ relevant experience and current preceptor status Medical Command eligible PA certification as Paramedic or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the Paramedic level or licensed PA PHRN Preferred Basic Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Haz-Mat Technician.
