✓3-5 years ’ grossing experience in a hospital setting accepted in lieu of ASCP Certification or masters degree
Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists preferred
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree required ; Masters in Pathologists’ Assistant
Qualifications
✓Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a pathology or histology laboratory setting
✓Under the general supervision of the pathologist, works independently when performing professional duties associated with examination and/or preparation of the surgical pathology specimens
