A Day in the Life of a Patient Access - Crosby Clinic Scheduling (PAS) The Patient Access Specialist
• Scheduling plays a vital role in orchestrating patient interactions with healthcare services through meticulous appointment scheduling and documentation. This position is the primary line of communication between patients, healthcare providers, and various clinic departments, ensuring a seamless flow of information and coordination. Challenges include managing a high volume of information and multitasking under pressure, while maintaining a high standard of customer service and accuracy. Collaboration is key, as the specialist works closely with medical staff, insurance providers, and other departments to verify information and facilitate patient care continuity. The role demands flexibility and adaptability, responding to changing patient needs and clinic demands efficiently. Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills Customer service focused and professional Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills Resilient and adaptable multitasker Discreet with sensitive patient information Familiar with medical terminology and systems Resourceful with strong problem-solving ability Qualifications Education and Experience Required Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, EMR systems (EPIC preferred), and multi-line phone system Successful completion of data entry standard administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources Staff Preferred Prefer High School diploma or GED Previous Patient Access experience Compensation and Benefits The pay range is listed above.
