You’ll need
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire.
✓Thereafter, must maintain Current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
✓Credentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire.
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Education
✓Patient Care Technician I: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
✓Patient Care Technician II: High school diploma/GED and ONE of the following requirements must be met.
✓Associate or Bachelor's degree
✓Active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited institution
✓Active enrollment in a healthcare related field from an accredited institution
✓Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution
✓Education: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Qualifications
✓At least 1 year work experience in a .6 FTE PCT I position at MUSC CHS
✓1 year of experience in a healthcare facility
