Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you will obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You will record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.Location: 30 S. Highland available to cover between 3 offices (358 North Broadway and 35 South Riverside Croton) This is a full time Monday
Friday 40 hour work week. Must be flexible 8:00am
6:00pm.Preferred CriteriaKnowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.Experience working in a busy healthcare environment preferably Pediatrics.Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements.EPICRequired Criteria1+ year of clerical experience.High School Diploma or equivalent GEDEffective communication skills verbal and written.Superior Customer Service skills.Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties efficiently.Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
