Patient Service Representative - Ambulatory Float Team (Northeast Valley/LA)

Qualifications
✓Ability to travel to various UCLA Health locations and being physically present at the job site
✓Ability to work various days/shifts and occasional weekends; Days and hours may vary depending on assignments.
✓Familiarity and knowledge of authorization process and managed care programs
✓Knowledge of medical terminology
✓Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
✓Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with Faculty, Staff, Administration, and patients from various social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
✓Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal situations.
✓Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health.
✓Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment.
✓Ability to demonstrate clear knowledge of job responsibilities; skillfully use equipment, software and tools required to do the job; and to work steadily to get job done.
Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided. preferred
Working knowledge of CareConnect system to complete on-line transactions, including appointment scheduling, procedure scheduling, encounter registration system, completing referrals, inputting authorizations, hospital lab results and medical reports. preferred
