Greets all patients and visitors and answers incoming calls for the ambulatory clinic site of care. Obtains and records demographic and insurance information. Schedules patient appointments, procedures and / or diagnostic tests with appropriate physicians and / or departments and obtains pre-authorization for ancillary or referral appointments.
Collects necessary payment and acts as a clinic-based resource and liaison to the hospital business office for patients who may have questions related to their physician and / or hospital bills. Professionally and effectively communicates information to internal and external customers, while maintaining a focus on patient service and patient confidentiality.
and Responsibilities Performs accurate and complete registration for appointments. Verifies patient insurance for all services rendered and obtains required referrals or pre authorization as needed. Collects necessary payment from patients at time of service.
Provides and contributes to the delivery of a positive patient experience and receives and communicates all complaints to the manager. Prepares charts or patient records for clinical team as needed. Required Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Licensure and Certification Where a professional license or certification is required, the candidate must maintain the applicable license or certification throughout employment and comply with applicable renewal and reporting requirements. Schedule This position follows a full-time schedule. Flexibility may be required based on patient care and operational needs. Compensation
$17.05– $21per hour The
represents the budgeted compensation range for this position. Final offers may vary based on job-related factors, including qualifications, education, experience, skill set, internal equity, applicable policies, and other factors permitted by law.
