Find your calling at Mercy! Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned.

Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments).

Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility. Position Details:QualificationsExperience:Preferred: Two (2) years of customer service experienceHealthcare or hospital-based experience beneficialCertifications:Required: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED)Other

Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and teamworkComfortable handling sensitive situations, including deceased patients and bereaved familiesProfessional appearance and conduct in accordance with hospital policyAbility to use hospital technology systems (Epic, pager, transport logs)Physical RequirementsRegularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 poundsProlonged standing and walking throughout each shiftFrequent gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting to safely transport and assist patients and equipmentWhy Mercy?
