PBX Administrative Assistant

✓Requirements
Education
✓Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, required.
Qualifications
✓Additional requirements include:
✓Previous clerical, PBX/switchboard, call center, dispatch, reception, hospital, or similar customer-facing experience preferred but not required.
✓Must demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
✓Ability to multitask, prioritize competing responsibilities, and maintain accuracy in a busy environment.
✓Professional telephone etiquette and effective verbal communication skills.
✓Dependable, attentive, flexible, and comfortable working independently.
✓Ability to learn PBX procedures, hospital emergency codes, paging protocols, and applicable patient registration processes.
✓Basic ability to operate computers, telephones, scanners, and related office equipment.
✓Must have flexibility to work varying shifts based on departmental coverage needs, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
✓Weekend and holiday availability is expected.
✓Must be able to provide coverage with limited notice when unexpected absences or immediate staffing needs occur.
✓Ability to work primarily at the Athens campus and provide coverage at the Etowah switchboard as needed.
✓Schedule: as-needed PRN position
✓hours are not guaranteed and will vary according to departmental coverage needs.
✓The employee may provide coverage for PTO, callouts, vacancies, holidays, and other staffing gaps.
✓Candidates must have flexibility to workdays, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
✓Advance notice will be provided whenever possible; however, candidates should understand that some shifts may become available with limited notice because of unexpected absences or immediate coverage needs.
Customer service experience, particularly in a high-volume or fast-paced environment, strongly preferred.
