Per Diem Patient Registrar – Interventional Radiology – Days – Weill Cornell As a Patient Registrar, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience, from arrival through registration and scheduling.
You’ll be responsible for: Greeting patients with professionalism, warmth, and respect Registering and pre-registering patients accurately in our system Collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information Scheduling appointments and coordinating with referring providers Securing pre-certifications and authorizations to support timely reimbursement Preparing necessary documentation and communicating financial responsibilities Interface with referring offices/departments Above all, you’ll be a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care - helping them feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.
- This is a per diem day shift position that will work Wednesdays
- Fridays from 8:00am
- 4:00pm within the Radiology Department at our Weill Cornell site and DHK Reception Area. Preferred Criteria Some college Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first. Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4 Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED One year of clerical experience Effective communication, along with phone and computer skills Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
