This position is on the Pediatric/Women’s Pharmacy Team: Pediatric Satellite (0.75 FTE, Evening Shift 7 days on/7days off; every other weekend)Evening

2:30 – 11:00pm Monday-Friday primarily with 10 hrs weekend shift 12:30-11pmPrimary staffing in the pediatric satellite (cross-training in other areas included such as sterile compounding and adult satellites)7 days on/7 days off with every other weekend commitmentIncludes disaster team assignment and night shift pull list, holidays worked with rotating schedule if during on weekAverage of 60 hours per two-week pay periodResponsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services for patients receiving treatment within his/her assigned area.

Pharmacists are aligned with a medical service or group of patients based on a geographical area within the hospital and/or UF Clinics. Actively participates in relevant education and research activities. QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience

Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy. PharmD or equivalent education and hospital training / experience required. PGY1 residency preferred.

PGY2 residency highly preferred. Two years pharmacy experience in an organized health care setting preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to interact with supervisors, peers, support personnel and students. Demonstrated understanding of general hospital and ambulatory operations. Demonstrated ability to integrate clinical services, education and research activities.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position:Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purposeNOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:Registered pharmacist in Florida or eligible for sameAdditional Requirement:As a condition of employment within the Pharmacy Services Department of Shands Hospital all employees must be accessible by telephone. This requires each employee to provide a valid telephone number to the department Staff Assistant, in order for the department to reach them in the event of hospital need and/or emergency.
