Licensure
✓The Distribution Technician operates within established pharmacy policies, health system procedures, and applicable regulatory standards including state board of pharmacy requirements, USP standards, and health system safety protocols.
✓Pharmacy Technician License by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy
✓Maintains compliance with state board of pharmacy regulations, USP standards, health system policies, and accreditation requirements
✓Maintains active Arkansas Pharmacy Technician registration and national technician certification as required
Certifications
✓National Technician Certification (PTCB)
ASHP/ACPE accredited technician training or certified program (i.e. PTCB Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician, ASHP Sterile Compounding Certificate, etc.) Relevant pharmacy technician experience (i.e. retail, hospital, etc.) preferred
Education
✓Current University of Arkansas System employees, including student employees and graduate assistants, need to log in to Workday via MyApps.
Undergraduate degree preferred
Qualifications
✓close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; and/or visual inspection at distances close to the eyes.
✓This position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
✓A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant except as provided by law.
✓Any criminal history will be evaluated in relationship to job responsibilities and business necessity.
✓The information obtained in these reports will be used in a confidential, non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.
Good/Strong Math Skills preferred
Prior experience in a specialized role - Automation, Controlled Substances, Pharmacy Buyer, Investigational Drugs, Medication Reconciliation, IV Compounding Specialist, WAM Orders Entry preferred
