S. Diploma or Equivalent is required No experience is required 3-6 months of pharmacy tech hospital or retail experience is preferred. RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required And Other IV Certification is preferred Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra.
The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
This position is responsible for receiving orders from our wholesalers and vendors. You are expected to handle up to 50 lbs boxes and process/distribute received medications/IV fluids in various areas. Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.
