✓Requirements
Licensure
✓High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy (FLBOP) approved pharmacy technician training program.
Certifications
✓Must be registered with the State of Flordia as a Pharmacy Tech I*
✓FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician).
✓CPhT credential from the PTCB or the NHA within one (1) year post-hire.
Qualifications
✓Under the direct supervision* of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system.
✓Direct Supervision: A pharmacist gives specific instructions on all assignments. A pharmacist reviews the technician’s work for completeness and accuracy, or the technician performs tasks with inherent checks built into the nature of the work.
Six (6) to twelve (12) months of pharmacy experience. preferred
