Education

Qualifications

✓Working knowledge of pharmacy computer software including medication reordering, ADC's (automated dispensing cabinets), unit-dose packaging and pharmacy inventory retrieval systems.
✓Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
✓Ability to prioritize and organize work in an effective and efficient manner.
✓Ability to be detail-oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
✓Ability to type or perform data entry.

About the role

Job Summary: The Pharmacy Technician retrieves, packages and labels oral solid, liquid, topical, rectal, injectable and premixed IV medications, phone calls, computer communications, medication delivery, automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) stocking, unit dose packaging, medication storage area inspection and customer service. The Pharmacy Technician may compound non-sterile, sterile and hazardous medications.
