✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Registered as a Pharmacy Trainee with the State Board of Pharmacy (Must be completed prior to starting employment)
Education
✓Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications
✓Communicate effectively with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors by telephone, in person, or in writing. Refer all drug information questions to a pharmacist.
✓Ensure medications are stored safely and securely in accordance with Department of Health, The Joint Commission, and State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
✓Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked work environment.
✓Practice proper hand hygiene in both the pharmacy and patient care areas.
✓Utilize pharmacy computer systems to process and maintain patient information and records.
✓Maintain required documentation, including eyewash station logs, refrigerator temperature logs, perpetual inventory logs, and other records as needed.
✓Complete point-of-sale transactions and follow established cash-handling procedures.
✓Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, FWA, and PBM requirements.
✓Driver's License
✓Act 34
