Phlebotomy Instructor

Phlebotomy Instructor is responsible for developing and continually improving a comprehensive training program, including instructional and assessment materials, competencies, procedures, and learning resources in both manual and electronic formats. The training program will cover clinical phlebotomy techniques and classroom education to prepare new and existing team members for clinical phlebotomy, other lab specimen collections, and EKG procedures as necessary.

Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducationHigh School Diploma or GED. ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist. Completion of a formal, structured phlebotomy program.

Licensure & CertificationMust obtain Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) certification within one year of hire. Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within six months of hire. Other Skills & KnowledgeExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

EducationAn Associate's degree or certification in one of the following, or another closely related discipline, may be considered with one year of phlebotomy
