Physical Therapist (Casual) UPMC Williamsport Looking for flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives? UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Casual Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. This position is ideal for an experienced therapist seeking supplemental hours, work-life balance, or an opportunity to stay engaged in patient care.
The primary commitment is one weekend per month , with additional hours available based on your availability and department needs.
As a Physical Therapist at UPMC Williamsport, you'll work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to help patients restore mobility, improve function, and regain independence. You'll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide hands-on therapy, and educate patients and families throughout the recovery process.
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and physician referrals. Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, function, and quality of life.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities.
