Licensure

✓Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in state(s) of Practice required .
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BCLS) through the American Heart Association required .
✓Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state (s) where providing care required .
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program with an associate’s degree; a certificate from an accredited PTA program is acceptable where recognized to meet state licensure educational requirements required .
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Qualifications
✓Entry level/new graduates are acceptable; satisfactory completion of clinical work required by the program attended; previous work/clinical experience indicating successful ability to assume responsibilities within a team context required .
✓Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state (s) where providing care required .
Two (2) years’ experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
One (1) year prior experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
