You’ll need
Licensure
✓Valid MS State Board of Physical Therapy (MSBPT) Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
✓or temporary 90-day licensure issued by the MSBPT
✓Temporary license must be obtained and submitted prior to hire date
Education
✓Associate of Applied Science and successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
Qualifications
✓Theory, techniques, and equipment for professional physical therapy
✓Human anatomy, pathology, kinesiology and physiology related to physical therapy treatment
✓Principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical dysfunctions
✓Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients
✓Using computers and Microsoft Office programs
✓Ability to prioritize tasks
✓Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
✓Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively through oral and written expression
1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred
